Measuring pH is one of the simplest, yet most often overlooked ways to check the health of your coolant reservoir or plasma arc water table. The pH of the coolant bath should be checked bi-weekly using pH coolant test strips.
Check the pH of the bath using pH test strips. Each coolant manufacturer has their own recommendation, but the pH of the coolant mixture should generally be somewhere between 9 and 10 for the best performance.
If the sample is not up to the recommended pH reading, you likely are running too lean and need to add coolant into the bath until the pH is in the pH zone.
